Kate Mills completed a combined Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws at the University of Tasmania in 1998. She was admitted as a Legal Practitioner in Tasmania and entered in the Register of Practitioners of the High Court of Australia in 1999. She was granted a reciprocal right to Practice in Queensland in 2017.
Kate has appeared as a Barrister (in Tasmania) and as Solicitor Advocate (in Queensland) in both State and Federal Courts in Australia. In addition to the adversarial aspect of Family Law, she has successfully represented clients and their interests in alternative dispute resolution conferences.

Having previously operated her own legal practice and with a general law foundation including Conveyancing, Wills & Estates and Criminal Law, Kate brings a unique, holistic approach to the practice of Family Law.
